Until 2009 I was a full-time IT Consultant living in Norfolk and working in the Financial Services sector in London. I worked a 40-hour week with a 5-hour daily commute, tight deadlines and a million-dollar budget. I know all about being stressed at work.
I was married, with 2 young children – one with special needs. I know all about work/life balance too. I wasn’t happy or well, but I was too strung-out to notice. Suddenly, I crashed. I was unable to continue with this lifestyle. I had to make changes.
Around this time, I began to recall some events from my young days which had caused me considerable trauma. I’ll probably share the story with you one day, but for now I’ll just say that the events where horrible and I felt profoundly unsafe and alone with it all.
As a result, I shut down emotionally and spent the next 4 decades years not feeling very much. I was still fully-functioning; in fact it was throughout this period that my IT career blossomed
I’m not regailing you with this litany of disaster just for the sake of it and I don’t need sympathy either. But I do want you to know that I have been through my share of shit too.
I’ve been there and I’ve survived. Actually, I’ve thrived. It is possible.
Over the last 10 years I have changed my career twice, my relationship and my home. I’ve changed my entire life. I have also come to terms with the old trauma and made great strides to recover myself and regain connection with my emotions.
I know all about life transformation – from the sharp end – and I can show you how to make changes in your life too; whether that’s to feel more confident, change your job, career, life, relationship, achieve goals …
I am passionate about health and wellbeing and my belief is that everybody is unique and deserves the best support which meets their needs perfectly. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to people so I work with you to achieve what you want, starting where you are.
